DispatchHealth partners with Chicago’s Rush University System for Health – Home Care Daily News

Acute home care provider DispatchHealth got another key partnership – with the Rush University System for Health in Chicago. Starting next week, Rush patients will be able to access DispatchHealth home care to treat common injuries and illnesses at home complexes.

“As we have navigated the ongoing global pandemic for the past 18+ months, it has become clear that patient expectations for how care is delivered are changing rapidly,” said Rush University System CEO for Health, Ranga Krishnan, MD. “Our partnership with DispatchHealth will address these needs while reducing preventable hospital readmissions, and will ensure that after home medical care, patients are connected to a primary care physician or specialist.”

Denver-based DispatchHealth is one of a growing number of home medical providers who are partnering with hospitals and insurance plans to expand home care. In a statement, DispatchHealth CEO Mark Prather, MD, said the company’s model of care saved between $ 1,000 and $ 1,700 per acute care visit.

Rush University Systems for Health serves the Chicago metro area. American News and World Report ranked Rush University Medical Center in Chicago as one of the top 20 research hospitals in the country.
