New Delhi [India]July 1 (ANI/SRV): ASBM University (formerly Asian School of Business Management) The School of Communication (ASBM SOC) offering a unique interdisciplinary approach to communication, literature and language, and media studies, invites students to explore the world of media and communication as one of the fastest growing industries in recent decades.
Through a holistic approach to values-based learning through career development and research orientation, the ASBM SOC encourages the use of theoretical and practical learning. Its main purpose is to build a foundation and give every student’s potential thinking a chance to fully develop without any limitations.
There are several excellent programs that students can pursue in exploring the world of media and communication through ASBM SOC, namely – MA (Communication and Digital Media), MA (English), BA (Communication and Digital Media) and BA (English (Hons.)) – all of which have been combined with excellence in learning with action leadership and holistic personality development.
MA (Digital Communications and Media)
This is one of ASBM SOC’s postgraduate programs lasting 2 years and is open to students from all majors. Interested students can take this course with the main condition that they have completed their studies at a recognized university with a minimum overall score of 50% (45 per https://www.asbm.ac.in/soc/cent Marks for ReserveCategory). This course will enable students to develop advanced research, writing and presentation skills.
In this course, students can choose two electives in the third and fourth semesters such as – Brand Planning and Management, Environmental and Development Communication, Persuasive Written and Visual Communication,

Data and Investigative Journalism, Corporate Communication and Reputation Management, and Metaphor and Narratives (M&N) or Introduction to Film and Film Studies.
After completing this course, students can pursue careers as journalists, public diplomats, communications officers, or various business jobs, or continue their education at the graduate level.
MA (English)
This is a 2-year ASBM SOC postgraduate program that is only open to students who have completed the BA program in English. As with the previous program, students interested in applying must also have an overall score of at least 50% (45% points for reserve category) from any recognized university.
Some of the main features of this program in ASBM SOC are:
– Course designed with the CBCS pattern,
– An innovative pedagogy,
– Specializations by field and by sector,
– Continuous assessment model, as well as
– Experienced speakers from industry, profession and academia.

Students can choose a general option in the first and second semesters of this course. In the fourth semester, there are two discipline-specific electives. From a plethora of elective courses, students can choose from – Introduction to Communication and Language, Films and Literature, Verbal and Nonverbal Communication, and Gender and Literature.
Upon completion of this course, students will have the opportunity to pursue a career in tourism, diplomatic and diplomatic services, entertainment, interpreters and translators, public relations, mass communication or continue their studies at the higher level .

BA (Communication and Digital Media)
One of the undergraduate programs belonging to ASBM SOC has a duration of three years. The main mission is to prepare students to face time, change or career development, and to pursue their higher education by bringing them personal enrichment. Having passed 10+2 in Arts/Sciences/Business with an overall mark of at least 45% on a recognized board or other equivalent examination is a mandatory requirement for students wishing to enroll in this program.
Some of the main features of this program in ASBM SOC are:
– Course designed with the CBCS pattern,
– Experiential learning focused on practice,
– Emphasis on strengthening thinking and analytical skills in solving real problems,
– Continuous assessment model, as well as
– Experienced speakers from industry, profession and academia.
BA (English (specialized)
This is the second undergraduate program offered by ASBM SOC. This three-year program aims to familiarize students with the in-depth study of literature through analysis and critical insight, as well as reflective practices of reading and writing. Students wishing to take this course must have achieved an overall mark of at least 45% on a recognized board or other equivalent examination on a 10+2 basis in Arts/Sciences/Business.
Some of the main features of this program in ASBM SOC are:
– Course designed with the CBCS pattern,
– An innovative pedagogy,
– Emphasis on strengthening thinking and analytical skills in resolution,
– Continuous assessment model, as well as
– Experienced speakers from industry, profession and academia.
After completing this course, students can pursue a career as a publisher, editor, journalist, interpreter and translator or continue their education to the next level.
The finishing school, with its psychometrics and language labs, supports students’ communication skills and personality development for better employability.
