Rawal named MEAC Men’s Tennis Player of the Week

NORFOLK, Virginia, February 16, 2022—Morgan State graduate student Nihit Rawal has been named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Men’s Tennis Player of the Week, Presented by Coca-Cola, the conference office announced today.


Rawal had singles and doubles victories in last Saturday’s Bears win over Lehigh. He won his No. 3 singles match against Matt Kleiman, 7-6, 6-3, and he teamed with Mikeal Charpentier for a 7-6 doubles win over Zack Elliott and Marc Blekhman.


The product from Chandigarh, India has now won MEAC Player of the Week honors six times in his career as Rawal also won the award once last season (February 10, 2021).

Rawal will bring the men’s team back into action in Annapolis for a game against the Midshipmen on Saturday, February 26. The first service is scheduled for 10 a.m.
