Texas A&M University System Nutanix Graduates

The Texas A&M University System, with an annual budget of over $4.2 billion, is one of the largest higher education systems in the nation. Through a statewide network of 11 universities, 7 state agencies, 2 service units, and a comprehensive health science center, the system educates more than 140,000 students and establishes more than 22 million additional educational contacts through service and outreach programs each year.

Prior to adopting Nutanix, Texas A&M moved its critical business services across multiple racks to a virtual environment and found that they were spending a lot of administrative time managing the solution. According to Cary Tschirhart, Manager and ISO, Information Technology Services, the move to Nutanix allowed the university “…to keep up with (its) rapid rate of growth with a very small IT team (which) would not have been possible if (the team had not) migrated to Nutanix and the Acropolis hypervisor.
