The University of Tokyo will launch a new satellite education center in Yaesu, in the heart of Tokyo, offering professional training and development for workers, as well as other programs for a wide range of students. The new educational base will begin its launch in October 2022 with an interdisciplinary smart city planning course for professionals, Smart City School.
The UTokyo Yaesu Academic Commons, as the center is called, will be located at the center of Tokyo Midtown Yaesu, a new complex of business and commercial buildings next to Tokyo Station.
