Husson University has announced that Craig Hadley, their vice president of finance and administration, treasurer, will retire towards the end of 2021. He has worked at the university for more than 13 years. Hadley played a huge role in the university’s response to the pandemic. His efforts included overseeing the deployment of massive federal monetary relief. During her residency, Hadley skillfully managed a large portfolio of bonds. He managed the business services and college funds, including the Husson endowment. Under Hadley’s direction, installation services, support services, information technology and campus security have greatly contributed to the success of the university.
Hadley worked closely with the board on finance, operations management and the physical plant. He has earned the respect and appreciation of the directors. Thanks to his dedication to Husson, the university was able to invest approximately $ 100 million in the development and improvement of campus facilities.
âCraig’s work has helped our university community develop a better common understanding of our financial situation,â said Robert A. Clark, CFA, PhD, president of Husson University. âHis leadership has enabled our students to benefit from superior quality services on campus. The solid operational base it has built will help the university fulfill its educational mission for years to come.
These include the construction of the Beardsley Meeting House, student residences and the Wellness Learning Center. Hadley also helped oversee the finances that enabled athletic turf replacements for Winkin Field and Boucher Field. He also oversaw the financing of Harold Alfond Hall, the new headquarters of Husson’s College of Business. These projects all improve the quality of Husson’s academic and student life.
Hadley looks forward to continuing her professional work as an adjunct faculty member at Husson and the University of Maine, as well as an advisor to the National Association of College and University Business Officers and ENCORE. He also plans to volunteer for various humanitarian causes and participate in several new adventures, including spending time at his wilderness camp on Moosehead Lake.
Hadley is a certified CPA and holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Richmond and a Master of Business Administration from Columbia University. Prior to joining Husson, he had a successful 31-year career with various publicly traded, private and multinational companies and non-profit organizations spanning 15 industries with revenues ranging from $ 3.5 billion to $ 6 billion. . Hadley most recently served on the board of directors of Acadia Hospital in Northern Light and as a member of the finance committee of Northern Light Health. He has also written articles and shared his vast expertise at various higher education meetings.
The search for a new vice president of finance and administration, treasurer at Husson University began in March. The university hopes to fill the position by early 2022.
