Wednesday’s softball doubleheader at Mount St. Mary’s canceled

BALTIMORE, Md. (April 6, 2022) – Morgan State’s non-conference softball doubleheader at Mount St. Mary’s originally scheduled for Wednesday, April 6 at 2 p.m. in Emmitsburg, Md., has been canceled due to inclement weather. For the moment, no catch-up date has been announced.

The Lady Bears (15-13, 6-3 MEAC) will return to Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference action this weekend when they visit Delaware State (9-21, 2-6 MEAC) at Dover, Del. (April 9-10) . The three-game series begins with a doubleheader Saturday at 1 p.m. and ends with a singles match Sunday at noon.

Morgan State enters the contest on a two-game losing streak, having lost 2 of 3 games at home to rival Howard last weekend. It was the Lady Bears’ first MEAC series loss since 2019. The Hornets are on a three-game losing streak, coming off a three-game series loss this weekend at North Carolina Central.
