West Liberty University will hold its Graduate Diploma in Business Administration on June 10

WEST LIBERTY, (W.Va.) — West Liberty University will hold its Physician Assistant (PA) Commencement Ceremony for the Class of 2022 at 6 p.m. Friday, June 10 at the Kelly Theater.

President W. Franklin Evans will welcome the 18 graduates of the Class of 2022, followed by Chairman of the Board of Governors Richard “Rich” Lucas. The Dean of Graduate Studies, Dr. Vincent Mumford, will also share his greetings.

The keynote speaker will be attorney and WLU alumnus David Croft.

Croft earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting in 1989 from West Liberty University and a JD in 1999 from West Virginia University College of Law.

He was an Adjunct Lecturer in Law at the WVU College of Law where he taught several tax and other course topics. A frequent speaker and speaker, he is an expert on topics such as taxation, estate planning, trust law, tax-exempt entities and choice of business entity.

A member of the law firm Spilman Thomas & Battle, PLLC, his legal practice focuses on complex commercial transactions and tax planning. Prior to entering law school, he practiced as a CPA in Morgantown.

He is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, Ohio County Bar Association, West Virginia State Bar Association and American Bar Association and is listed in West Virginia Super Lawyers for Estate Planning, Probate, Corporate/Business and Tax law.

Croft currently serves on the boards of the Greater Wheeling Sports and Entertainment Authority, Ohio County Schools Board of Education, and tax seminary boards. He is a Fellow of the West Liberty University Foundation and was inducted into the WLU Alumni Wall of Honor in 2018.

Graduates also receive Pi Alpha honors at the ceremony (National Honor Society for Physician Assistants). This award is based on academic achievement, community service and leadership. The surprise announcement and presentation of the awards will be made by Dr. Bill Childers, PA Program Director.

The ceremony will also be streamed live on the WLU Topper streaming platform.

West Liberty University’s Master of Physician Assistant Studies program began in the summer of 2012 and offers students a year-round 24-month program of study housed in the new Campbell Hall of Health Sciences .
