Beth Ferris, chief financial officer of Belcan, LLC and Wright State graduate, has been named to the Wright State University Board of Trustees by Governor Mike DeWine.
Ferris, of Springboro, was appointed to the nine-member board for a term ending June 30, 2025. She will fill the unexpired term of Sean Fitzpatrick, who resigned from the board earlier this year.
“I am honored to be named to the Wright State University Board of Trustees,” Ferris said. “I received my MBA of Wright State and we look forward to contributing to its continued success.
Ferris is a senior finance executive with over 30 years of experience in the labor and information industries.
She joined Cincinnati-headquartered Belcan as CFO in 2016.
She is responsible for directing the financial and accounting organization of the business, including planning and analysis, financial reporting and various accounting functions. As a critical member of the leadership team, she developed strategic organic and acquisition initiatives for domestic and global expansion resulting in increased revenue.
Belcan is a global provider of highly technical labor outsourcing to the aerospace, defence, transportation and industrial sectors. The company has more than 10,000 employees in 60 locations around the world.
Prior to joining Belcan, Ferris spent over 20 years at LexisNexis, most recently serving as Senior Vice President of Global Finance, Chief Financial Officer of its U.S. Division, and Chief Financial Officer of its Corporate Markets Division and federal in the United States.
Ferris got a Master of Business Administrationwith a concentration in finance, from Wright State University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Marketing from Bowling Green State University. She also completed the RELX Harvard Executive Management Program and the Six Sigma Executive Champion training.
